About

Kayla Klein is an actor, writer and mechanical engineer (how’s that for a plot twist at the end). Kayla is a SAG-AFTRA actor that has been in Los Angeles for 7 years working on various projects including award winning short films. Her most recent lead role was Mouse in the short film, Hometown Boys, where she also assisted in production. She is best known for her role as Kate in the short film, X&Y. She has studied with Annie Grindlay, Anthony Meindl, Brian Cutler, Killian McHugh, and Laurie Records. She has also completed the improv program at UCB, as well as improv classes at Groundlings.

In addition to acting, Kayla has a B.S. and M.S. in mechanical engineering and has worked in the field for over 10 years. She uses this unique perspective of being a female in a highly male dominant field in her writing. She co-wrote the thriller Good Girls Get Fed with production set for 2022. Outside of acting and engineering, Kayla spends her free-time doing hot yoga, running, boxing, playing the drums and taking way too many pictures of her senior cat, Kitty.
